You have an incredibly unique condition that has been with you since your birth. Any deep wound you’ve ever received - physical or otherwise - has become a scar on your body. Not only this, but when your flesh knits itself back together to form these scars they all become single words that represent the hurt that caused them. Each of your scars is a story unto itself, and there are some who would see the tapestry that is your dermis removed from your person, and hung upon their walls. You left London for a time to escape those people, but the past always has a way of catching up to you. You’ve heard of a place you may be welcome back home, a place that will accept you and help you claim the peace of mind you’ve been so desperately searching for.

Hargrave House is no stranger to the strange and unnerving—in fact, it is their very duty and business to see the strange become familiar, and the unnerving a memory of the past. The solace you seek lies there, with those people—those Hunters—in Hargrave House. They’ve agreed to take you in and help you face your demons, so long as you assist them with their strange work. It’s time to go back to where it all began—it’s time to go home to London.

The Tapestry is a playbook for Jason Cordova's The Between and features a tortured soul on the hunt for the answer to their woes---be that a cure for their condition or acceptance of who they are is for you to
decide.

The core moves of the playbook involve adding unique items to your Personal Quarters---the litany of scars that line your body---and telling your painful tale to those who will listen.

The playbook has a custom Threat attached to it called The Academy. The Academy focuses on the Tapestry's biggest abuser finding them back in London and attempting to reclaim them for himself.

This playbook has to do with themes of pain, suffering, torture, body horror, and storytelling. The Threat features the same themes.

The Tapestry was first published in Gauntlet fanzine Sprigs & Kindling, Volume 2 and features layout by Amanda Mullins.
