The Illustrated London News last week reported on two seemingly unrelated events. First, crude pop-up stands all displaying the slogan “Men, Mellified” that have been appearing all over Tooley Street and offering what they claim are mellified men — confectionery mummies that supposedly have miraculous healing properties—for free to the poor and ailing. Second, the owner of the Shipwrights Arms, Miles Derrickson, and the landlord of the Tooley Street Tenement Building, Humphrey Trevis, have gone missing.

Yesterday morning, a story was printed in the far-less-credible Illustrated Police News—submitted by an anonymous writer—that suggests Derrickson and Trevis were actually abducted and turned into mellified men, then distributed via the pop-up stalls on Tooley Street. What’s more, the report claims that the miracle solution actually works.

Sweet Bod is a Threat for The Gauntlet and Jason Cordova's game The Between. In this Threat the Hunters of Hargrave House are tasked with figuring out how a group of the impoverished have been creating a miraculous medicinal confectionery, and then putting a stop to it. This Threat explores the following themes and subject matters: rebellion and rioting, illness and disease, cannibalism, classism, poverty, and desperation. This is a Threat that has the goal of making the players ask "Are we the bad guys?"

The Between is a creation of Jason Cordova and Gauntlet Publishing. This publication is not affiliated with Jason Cordova or Gauntlet Publishing.
